Welcome to Senior Design in the Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics Department of Drexel University.

Senior Design is a required 9-month capstone program for all graduating Drexel College of Engineering students. Teams of 3 – 5 students, advised by one or more of Drexel's highly qualified faculty, apply the entirety of their cutting-edge skills and experience to tackle meaningful engineering design challenges.

The majority of participating students have 18 months of experience in industry through the co-op program, as well as four years of theoretical and practical classroom instruction in a variety of disciplines and concentrations.

Past projects have included a humanoid robot, land-speed-record motorcycle, agricultural tools for the rural poor, and a spinal implant.

With the participation of students, faculty, sponsors, and more, we look forward to success on all fronts this year and beyond.
